Which VAT rate should I use?
The standard VAT rate is 25% but for some services the VAT rate is 12% or 6%. Which VAT rate you should use depends on what kind of services you preform.
If you send an invoice to a customer outside of Sweden, the VAT rate should be 0%.

How do I register as a user?
Click “Create Account” – or here – and fill in your personal details and your email address. You will then receive a confirmation e-mail that activates your account.
What are my terms of employment?
For each individual project, you become temporary employed by Firmify, your salary is in principle based on the invoiced amount deducted with social security contributions and tax. The fact that you accept that your account is created, you also agree on Firmifys Terms of condition.
How much will I receive as salary if the invoice amount is 10.000 SEK excluding VAT?
How big your salary will be depends on when you were born, and where you live, due to different social fees and local taxes. Please use the calculator to get a preliminary indication of how big salary an invoice will generate. Link to the calculator
When will I receive my salary?
Your salary is paid to your bank account within a maximum of five banking days after your client has been paid his invoice.
We are 4 persons who collaborated on a job. Can the salary be shared and the client receive one invoice?
Yes. After you create the invoice, there is a step called Share the invoice. There you can add other persons Firmify account number (located in the Profile-view), and the creator of the invoice can control how much of the gross amount that will go to each one of you. If your colleague does not have a Firmify account, please ask them to create one, and ask them for their Firmify account number.
Can I get an employer certificate to the unemployment insurance (A-kassan)?
Yes, like all employers in Sweden Firmify is obliged to promptly issue a certificate of employment if necessary. When you log in to your account we have a automated function for this feature.
Can I get compensation for the expenses I had to complete the mission?
Yes, you are entitled to compensation for expenses billed to (and paid out by) the final client. It is therefore up to you to ensure that Firmify gains access to reliable records, receipts, etc. before the customer is invoiced. A prerequisite is that all costs should be tax deductible, and absolutely necessary for your work. All the costs should be incurred in connection with the performance of the invoiced commission. You send us electronic copies of the receipts and keep the originals for at least seven years.
Can I invoice expenses, travel expenses and subsistence allowance?
Yes, you are entitled to this, provided that these costs are invoiced and paid in full by your client. It is up to you to ensure that accurate expense reports are submitted to Firmify (before your salary is paid).
Can I create invoices in English?
Yes. If the invoice recipient adress is outside of Sweden the invoice automatically translate to English (although this is not visible in the preview). You can also choose to use the International template within Sweden, you find this option when you edit your clients details, choose International template.
I’m not getting my confirmation email when I create an account?
Everyone that create an account (and spells the e-mail address correct) will receive a confirmation email. If the mail does not arrive, it is probably because your email provider suspect it is spam. Please look it up in your spam folder, and if you can not find it there – email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help you confirm your account manually.
What is my username?
The email address you entered when you created the account is your username.
What is social fees?
In addition to salary, all employers pays statutory employer contributions and contractual insurance for their employees. The statutory social fees is the total 31.42 percent of the employee’s gross wages during 2014.
For employees born in 1988 and later the statutory rates are 15.49 percent. For employees born in 1938 through 1948, the employer shall pay a fee for a total of 10.21 percent (= old age pension contribution). For people born in 1937 and earlier paid no payroll taxes or income tax.
